  2. SHPD Giving Tree

    December 12, 2019, 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Spring Hill Church of Christ

The Spring Hill Police Department is once again sponsoring the 'Giving Tree' in partnership with Spring Hill Fresh. The SHPD annually sponsors a gift-giving event to help ensure Christmas gifts for hundreds of local needy residents and students who otherwise might have nothing under the tree. Again this year, the focus of the Giving Tree will expand to also help local military veterans and the elderly who have been identified as needing some help this Christmas. This charitable event is done with the help of the community, local businesses and civic organizations donating gifts and money. You and/or your business can sponsor a child, veteran, or senior by signing up for a gift on the online Giving Tree sign-up sheet. We will continue to add to this list up until our cut-off date. Volunteers? Yes, we need help sorting, wrapping, and distributing gifts.

  5. City offices closed for Christmas

    December 24, 2019 - December 25, 2019 @ Spring Hill City Hall

All City of Spring Hill offices, including the library and police administrative offices, will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019, for the Christmas holiday. All Waste Management garbage and recycling collection routes in Spring Hill will be delayed by one day Wednesday, Dec. 25, through Friday, Dec. 27. Routes on Monday and Tuesday will remain the same. For example, if your trash or recycling collection route falls on Christmas Day, it will be picked up on Thursday, Dec. 26, instead. If it falls on Friday, it will be picked up Saturday. As usual, as Waste Management finishes its routes each day, the trucks will often go ahead and pick up any trash cans already placed at the curb for the following day in an effort to try to get ahead to make up for the lost pickup day. However, the one-day delayed collection route will be run on the same streets again the next day.
