Rippavilla, Spring Hill Parks & Rec. to host annual family friendly mud run Aug. 4

Rippin Run-2016

Rippavilla, Inc. and Spring Hill Parks & Recreation are teaming up for a third consecutive year to host Rippin’ Run, a family friendly 5K mud run on the grounds of the historic Rippavilla property. The event begins at 7 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, with ticket sales benefiting two great causes: Rippavilla Plantation and the American Cancer Society.

Rippin’ Run is complete with obstacles and fun for all ages. Spanning a portion of the historic property of Rippavilla Plantation, participants will get to run either a 5K with obstacles and a mudslide, or a 1-mile muddy fun run. Rippavilla Plantation and Spring Hill Parks & Recreation are collaborating on this event to promote healthy living and community in the Spring Hill area.

Sign-in begins at 7 a.m. The 5K obstacle course commences at 8 a.m. with the 1-mile Fun Run to kick off at 9 a.m. “Messy” games and entertainment are available from 8 to 11 a.m.

The event will be held at 5700 Main St., in Spring Hill. Admission to Rippin’ Run is $30 for adults, and $15 for children ages 12 and under. Tickets may be purchased at the door, but runners who pre-register online will receive a free T-shirt.

This event is sponsored by Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center at Maury Regional Spring Hill.
