Jan. 18: Waste Management will be picking up residential trash and recycling routes Thursday, Jan. 18, throughout the weekend, and will service every street their trucks can safely access in an attempt to catch up on routes delayed by the snowy conditions. Please put your cans/carts at the curb and leave them and WM will collect them as soon as they can safely do so. It's unclear how long trucks will run Jan. 18 as WM will be watching the temperature to determine potential freezing conditions on roadways. Road conditions should improve with sunshine. WM will run as many trucks and personnel as are available both Friday and Saturday. If not, for the first time ever if, if necessary, WM is considering running trucks on Sunday to ensure everything gets collected.
UPDATED Jan. 22: Waste Management ran trucks through Sunday and was able to collect all Spring Hill routes originally delayed by the snow. If your route was normally scheduled last week, please leave your can at the curb and it will be collected.
