Important information about utility billing payment site

-City utility customers’ online billing profiles are no longer valid. Customers will need to create a new online billing profile on the new billing site.

-When making an online payment, you now will need to alter your account number by removing the first zero and placing it in front of the second set of numbers. For example, if your account number is 003-077644-22, then to pay online you would need to type it in as 03-0077644-22.

-Many City of Spring Hill utility billing customers have noted that they are being charged a $1.25 online payment fee when trying to pay their bill on our new online payment site. Just as the City did with our previous online payment site, the City still does not intend to charge the payment fee and has contacted the payment system provider to have it removed. The City subsidizes the cost of the fee for the customers. Any customers who have paid the fee while paying an online bill should call utility billing at 931-486-2252, ext. 200, and your account will be credited the $1.25.

-Hard copy utility bills were late going out this month because of an issue with the printing contractor that prints the bills for the City of Spring Hill. The bills were sent on-time by the City to the printer on April 3. However, the City was unaware until late into the following week that the printer was unable to send out the bills until April 9 because of technical issues at the printer. Because this caused bills to arrive very late, the City has waived any late fees that otherwise would have been incurred due to late payments this month.

-Customers who have not received a bill and still need their billing amount may call (931) 486-2252, ext. 200. Or, call to make a payment at no additional charge by phone with a Visa or MasterCard. Customers may also pay in person at City Hall. Customers who have been unable to make an online payment who would like to pay by mail this month, please send payment to: City of Spring Hill, P.O. Box 789, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

-Customers who pay their utility bill by automatic bank draft will be unaffected by any of the software related changes.

-Some customers have asked about e-checks, which are not being accepted at this time on the new online payment site. As that service would cost the City additional funds to add, it is now being considered by city staff.
