The City of Spring Hill continues to monitor the Southern Springs development as it builds out.

The City continues to complete inspections to regulate and ensure that development, including Coffee Ridge Pond, meets state and city specifications and is completed in accordance with the approved plans. The approved plans have design measures that address the concerns raised by residents, including the potential for stagnating water in the forebays. 

The pond is currently being transitioned from the sedimentation basin to the permanent/final retention pond (as part of that transition it was determined that a liner was required and is being installed). 

After completion of this transition, the City will complete a final walk-through inspection where the ponds will be fully inspected for compliance.
