A-Shift Battalion Chief Kevin Glenn

Battalion Chief Kevin Glenn began his career with Spring Hill Fire Department in 2004. Glenn was born and spent most of his early childhood in Spring Hill, he and his wife moved back into the City of Spring Hill in 2002 when they married. He is a graduate of Page High School and obtained his Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) from Columbia State Community College.

In 1998 during his senior year at Page High School, Chief Glenn had to complete a senior project on something in the community. He spent time job shadowing his uncle who was a volunteer firefighter for College Grove Fire Department to complete his senior project. This project led to Chief Glenn’s desire to serve his community as a career firefighter.
Chief Glenn volunteered at College Grove Fire Department and later at Peytonsville Fire Department as one of the founding members. He worked full time for Bedford county EMS for four years and was hired by Spring Hill Fire Department as a firefighter in 2004. Battalion Chief Glenn moved through the ranks with Spring Hill Fire Department and is currently the Battalion Chief of A-Shift.

Battalion Chief Glenn and his wife Sarah have two daughters. They enjoy spending time on their farm and riding horses. On his days off you will most likely find him acting as truck driver and stable hand for his oldest daughter who competes at Triune Saddle Club and Southern Tennessee All-Star Rodeo.

B-Shift Battalion Chief Greg Boyd

Battalion Chief Greg Boyd is a second generation firefighter. His father Ernest served as a Lieutenant for the Lincoln Park Fire Department for 27 years. Chief Boyd started his fire service career in Hopkinsville Kentucky in 1999. He also worked as an instructor for the Kentucky State Fire Rescue Training Program that administers training to new and experienced firefighters statewide for the firefighters of the state. Chief Boyd taught classes that included basic firefighting, ropes and knots, flashover recognition, firefighter rescue and firefighter survival.

Chief Boyd joined Spring Hill Fire Department in 2005. He brought a lot of experience to the fire department and headed up a number of projects. He brought the Firefighter Survival and Rescue class to the department where members of the department learned skills that can save themselves or other members of the department in the event that a fireground emergency arises.

Chief Boyd resides in Chapel Hill, TN with his wife, Ashlee and their four children, Jackson 16, Landon 9, Emerson 5 and Rowan 3. Their family are members of The Bridge Church in Spring Hill, TN.

C-Shift Battalion Chief Brian Garza

Battalion Chief Brian Garza began his career with Spring Hill Fire Department as a Volunteer in June of 2003 and was hired to full time status in December of that same year. When Chief Garza began his service with the City of Spring Hill there were only 8 full-time firefighters, which 2 of them were command staff level. The Fire Department started growing rapidly along with the growth of the city and with growth Chief Garza was promoted through the ranks and became interim Fire Chief in October 2013 until the hiring of Chief Terry Hood in June of 2014. Chief Terry Hood in turn promoted Garza to Battalion Chief in August of 2014.

I oversee the day to day operations of the Fire Departments C shift. I handle all emergency scenes and work directly with the Fire Chief. My shift consists of 14 personnel, 4 ems personnel and 4 fire apparatus located at 3 stations.
