Spring Hill Design Review Commission
Tennessee Code Annotated § 6-54-133 authorizes a municipality to create a design review commission and develop general guidelines for the exterior appearance of nonresidential property, multiple family residential properties, and any entrance to a nonresidential development within the municipality.
Pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated § 6-54-133, the Board of Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Spring Hill adopted Resolution 11-61, a resolution establishing a Design Review Commission, and naming the members of the Municipal Planning Commission as members of the Design Review Commission.
The Design Review Commission meets as needed, immediately prior to the Regular Planning Commission Meeting at 5:25 pm on the 2nd Monday of each month to review requests for the exterior appearance nonresidential property, multiple family residential properties, and any entrance to a nonresidential development regardless of zoning designation within the City of Spring Hill.
The primary purpose and duty of the Design Review Committee is not to limit growth or development within the City of Spring Hill or to restrict creative design solutions, but to encourage development that reinforces the vision of Spring Hill as a quality place to live, work and raise a family while maintaining its uniqueness and an authentic sense of place.
The City of Spring Hill Planning & Zoning Department prepares the monthly agenda and maintains records of the Design Review Commission proceedings.
