In February 2019, the BOMA approved a $2 million contract for the construction of the Crossings Circle North Bridge, which will create a much needed second entrance into The Crossings shopping center.
The bridge will cross over McCormick Creek, connecting The Crossings with the neighboring development being constructed at 5426 Main Street and creating a second entrance/exit for the busy shopping center. The bridge, which will include sidewalks, will be built along an eastern extension of Stephen P. Yokich Parkway, making the intersection of U.S. 31 and Stephen P. Yokich a four-point intersection.
The project is being constructed through a public-private partnership between the City and the private developer of the Main Street property. The project is expected to be complete by the end of 2019.
