The City of Spring Hill is offering an AngioScreen to the public 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on both Sept. 6 and Sept. 13 at the Northfield Conference Center, 5000 Northfield Lane, Door 400, Classroom 110.
The screening takes only 6 minutes and you'll leave with an instant color ultrasound photo printout with data showing your risk of heart disease and stroke. AngioScreen measures Ankle Brachial Index, a screening for blockages in the leg arteries that is normally not performed by doctors unless patients are symptomatic. Blood pressure, pulse, and body mass index are also measured. The screening involves no needles, pain or radiation.
The cost is $50 for a basic screening (additional $30 for AAA Screening) covered under Flexible Spending Accounts.
To schedule an appointment, contact Amanda Knobloch at City Hall at firstname.lastname@example.org or 931-486-2252, ext. 204.
