    Enjoy an entertaining evening for a great cause benefiting The Well Outreach, the area's local food pantry charity, on May 14. All types of talent are eligible for the contest, and ages are encouraged to sign up. Dress rehearsals are May 7. This food drive, benefiting The Well, will be sponsored by Girl Scout Troop 2449.   3. Mother's Day Lunch at Historic Rippavilla

    May 8, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Rippavilla Plantation

    Rippavilla Plantation is hosting its annual Mother’s Day Lunch, which will include a buffet of pork loin, creamy chicken casserole, corn casserole, green beans with new potatoes, baked apples, grape salad, warm rolls with butter, chocolate bread pudding and cheese cake with strawberry topping. Fruit tea also will be available. Guests will dine in the original dining room that is now the parlor or the beautiful sunroom. Proceeds from the event assist in the preservation of the historic site. Reservations are required as seating is limited. Reservation deadline is May 3. Payment is due when reservations are made.     This live improv comedy show, made possible by a partnership of the Spring Hill Arts Commission and the Carmike 12 Cinemas movie theater, is a fun and entertaining way to raise money to build a performing arts center in Spring Hill. The event will include monthly improv shows by the eight-member improv group, Film Prov. The performances will be similar to ABC's improvisational comedy show, "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"

  7. Spring Hill Orchestra Spring Benefit Concert

    The program will include: BEETHOVEN Romance for Violin in F Major Charis MacKrell, violin soloist BRAHMS Academic Festival Overture BEETHOVEN Symphony 6 (Pastoral) Mvt I, III and V The Spring Hill Orchestra (SHO) was envisioned by Rebecca Vendemo more than a decade before the orchestra was started on November 10, 2014. With degrees in music education and performance, Rebecca has a background that boasts more than ten years of experience in conducting and composing for orchestras. Working for the New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera deepened her understanding and passion for the orchestra and operatic art forms before she moved to Spring Hill, Tennessee and started the SHO. Rebecca is the founder, director and conductor of the SHO and sometimes plays the trumpet or the cello with the group in small ensembles.
